‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ has once again made it to the top of another list – the world’s highest grossing film for 2006!!! The producers of the flick have their pockets full after the movie raked in as much as $ 1.4 Billion… it ousted all the other big releases, including the previously reigning ‘Da Vinci Code,’ which managed to pool in $966 million…

With the third part of the series, ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End’ already scheduled for this summer, lets see if Keira sticks to her decision of quitting the pirates brigade…

Hey people… I have good news, GREAT news…. And not so good news….

1. The good news is that the Pirates Of The Caribbean series is going beyond the status of a trilogy. The fourth episode of the series has started and is in the scripting stage now… so be prepared for a much longer stand with the pirates…

2. The GREAT (read GRRRRRREEEEEAAAATTTTT) news is that Keira Knightley’s character Elizabeth Swann has been highly appreciated not just by the audiences and critics, but also the producers of the film… the appreciation might be shown as much more screen time for the heavenly beauty in the third, fourth and many more Pirates movies J

3. The not so great news is that the leading man, Orlando Bloom might have to face the axe… the producers are hell bent on cost cutting for the venture, so Will Turner’s (the character played by Orlando) will be killed in the beginning of the movie itself….

While we rejoice for Keira baby, a thought that comes to mind is that how can a leading and main character turn ‘not necessary’ all of a sudden??? What say….

Ever since the Pirates Of The Carribean, the second episode has opened to viewers across the globe, its been on a record breaking spree.

Such has been the power packed by the pirates that no teritory has been left untouched by its magic. The Keira Knightley, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom starer has been raking in the moolah by the tons.

Indeed, it has now become the movie to take the quickest time to break the $300 million barrier. It has till now grossed a staggering $321 million in its first three weeks of release. Compare that with its sequel and you’ll fing that the original movie took six months to rake up the same amount.

Now thats some kind of success, what say guys???

The Pirates Of the Carribean continued their dominance over the box office charts for the second consecutive week in a row. The Kiera Knightley, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom starrer has already had a super opening at the box office. And its good show in the second week affirms its claims as one of the biggest successes of the year.

In the week gone by the film has added about $62.2 million to its kitty, taking the total earnings to a whopping $258.2 million in just the first ten days of its opening. This is the second offering of the series, with the first one also turning out to be a huge box office success.

After storming the UK box office, the Pirates have now landed at the North American box office and set it on fire in its first three days of opening. It grossed nothing less than $132 million on its debut and beat the previous record by distance held by Spiderman that collected $115 million.

The Jonny Depp, Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom starrer has knocked out the returning Superman of the top and now is heading the charts. The distributors of the film, Disney have said that they’ve recieved numerous reports of continuous sell out of the film. Having stuck gold with the original in 2003 and now with the Dead Man’s Chest, the Pirates are surely having the last laugh.

The Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp starter, the new film in the series Pirates Of the Carrbean has romped home with a record breaking 2.3 million pounds on the opening day of its UK release. This stunning response to the movie that also stars Orlando Bloom, puts it well on course to become the biggest hit of this summer.
