As in the previous two outings, At World’s End promises plenty of action and though tiny-framed Keira says the latest film was one of her most physically demanding to date, she also insisted on doing most of her own stunt work.

“This film is definitely a little bit darker and there are some really fantastic fight scenes,” she says gleefully. “I didn’t exactly insist on the fight scenes but I did ask for them for my character in the first movie. I kept saying, ‘I want a sword’ and they never gave me one, so in this one they gave me two, which is great!” she laughs.

Pity that despite her deft swordplay, the hardy star has come under fierce attack from critics who say her slender physique encourages anorexia in young girls.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star says having a glass-throwing tantrum calms her down when she is upset.

Keira believes she inherited her raging temper from her father, actor Will Knightley.

She told Hello! magazine: “I am like my father. I have ‘the Knightley streak’. He gets angry at inanimate objects. I find it therapeutic to throw glasses even if you have to spend the rest of the night on your hands and knees collecting pieces of glass.

“Whether you are frustrated, sad or drunk it works. It takes the anger away.”

Keira, 22, also admits she is “a bit of a drama queen” and feels constantly insecure.

The actress - who recently confessed to be envious of The Gossip singer Beth Ditto’s full figure - said:

“Look up insecurity in the dictionary, ‘For insecurity, see Keira Knightley.’ Constant insecurities. But I’m 22 and my body is alright at the moment. It’s not going to get much better. I know I might as well make the most of it.”

Keira is currently starring as Elizabeth Swann in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’. The adventure movie has been a worldwide box office smash, taking $401 million since its global opening last Wednesday

Keira Knightley is “relieved” to be taking on a new role in latest movie Atonement, because it’s more of a challenge than her part in the Pirates of the Caribbean series.

The Pride and Prejudice actress stars alongside James McAvoy as star-crossed lovers in the movie, which is based on the Ian McEwan novel.

And the English beauty is grateful for the new role, because it has more depth than that of her Pirates character, Elizabeth Swann.

She tells British film magazine Empire, “This is such a relief. Not that I don’t enjoy all that Pirates stuff, but it’s not about my character–it’s about Johnny (Depp)’s character. It’s not focusing on emotional turmoil. It’s been great just to get my brain engaged.”

Would you like to see her play Princess Diana? Naah! Not me… she lacks that charisma that Princess Diana was famous for, that made her the princess of hearts.

The days the British tabloids are abuzz with the news that there may be a Princess Diana movie and that if there is, everyone wants Keira to play her. Please note that the operative term there is “want”. That doesn’t mean they’re going to get her. Thankfully!

Remember the kind of massive fan following she had, that when she died, people kept thousands and thousands of bouquets to give her a blooming good bye. Some people argue that Princess Diana is not nearly as interesting a character as some of the media fiends out there have tried to portray her as and I’m a little tired of people putting her death up on the same level as other, important, actual political figures.

Whatever! But not Keira please!

Keira Knightley and director Joe Wright almost came to blows before they began filming Atonement, because they couldn’t agree over which character the actress should play.

Wright directs Knightley and James McAvoy as star-crossed lovers Cecilia Tallis and Robbie Turner in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Ian McEwan’s novel, but the Oscar nominated actress admits the filmmaker originally wanted her to play Tallis’ younger sister Briony.

Knightley tells British film magazine Empire, “Joe thought I should play the middle Briony but I read the script and instantly liked Cecilia. I loved her acerbic quality. I have never done that - she is hiding so much.

“So we had this big long talk where I was arguing for Briony. We finally decided on Cecilia because she has none of that Elizabeth Bennet vibe.”

Wright directed Knightley in her critically-acclaimed performance as Elizabeth Bennet in the 2005 film adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride & Prejudice.

I was rather surprised when I heard people started looking up to boney Keira Knightley as a role model when she is barely a dozen films old.

Obviously Keira didnt approve of the idea… but she had other reasons to why she didnt approve the idea.

She said,

”I have people telling me I’m a role model. That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Don’t turn a 20-year-old into a role model because we’re going to make mistakes. How could you not? You’d be a freak if you didn’t.”

So folks leave Keira alone… she wants to be no role model coz she wants to screw up things normally

Keira Knightley, star of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film trilogy, won almost $6,000 in libel damages on Thursday over a newspaper slur that she was excessively thin.

The Daily Mail had run a story with a picture of her in a bikini, headlined: “If Pictures Like This One of Keira Carried a Health Warning, My Darling Daughter Might Have Lived.”

“The article could be interpreted to have asserted that the claimant bore personal responsibility for causing the tragic death of Sophie Mazurek, a 19-year-old, who battled with anorexia,” Knightley’s lawyer Simon Smith told the High Court.

Johnny Depp says kissing Keira Knightley was “awkward” - because she is so much younger than him.

The pair shared a smooch in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, but Johnny, 43, found it difficult to pucker up to Keira, 22, because of the big age gap between the two stars.

He said in an interview with New magazine: “The smooches are always so awkward, especially because Keira and I have never been in that kind of situation together. She’s, like, three and I’m a thousand!

“We’ve known each other for a few years and suddenly it was, ‘Are you ready for this?’ And you just do it. It becomes more like a stunt in a way. She was a great sport about it.”

Keira has previously revealed she begged director Gore Verbinski to add the kiss between Captain Jack Sparrow and her character Elizabeth Swann.

She said: “I was saying, ‘Give me one kiss, just give me one kiss’”I got it and it was good, really good.”.

Keira Knightley, who denied rumours of having diet problems, wants to be thicker in the right places.

Keira, actress who is promoting the latest sequel of Pirates of the Caribbean: “At World`s End” at the moment, said in GMTV show that she would love to have larger breasts.

Her ideal is Monica Bellucci.

“I would love to have her figure, but I will never manage that because I do not have such build. I am what I am,” said the actress.

At the same time, she confirmed that she has never undergone plastic surgery, but this is why she regularly works out in order to stay fit.

“Yes, I love being fit, but only so that I am in shape and can run around doing different things. Perhaps the media would accept me more if people were not seen as things,”

Knightley has recently had a five- month break from filming because she “needed to have a bit of a breather and live in a flat that I bought three years ago but never lived in”.

“I did absolutely nothing – I walked around, I cooked a lot, I had friends over to my flat and we drank very good wine.”

Cooking a roast chicken is a favourite pastime, as is making her own stock and freezing it for risottos and soups later in the week.
